Priyanka’s Favorite Things
Having the right kitchen gadgets can make your cooking experience so much easier and more fun! Here are some of my “favorite things” in my kitchen that I truly use consistently. Note that none of these items are sponsored items, which means that I have not been asked or paid by any brand to share these reviews.
1. Boska Holland Tealight Fondue Set – Tapas, Pro Collection (200mL, Black)
Boska is a trusted brand that has specialized in durable and high-quality food tools for over 120 years. This particular fondue set comes with a ceramic pot that is both microwave safe and very easy-to-clean. It is heated by candlelight, cutting out the need for messy lighter fluids and cords. The 200 mL sized pot shown in the photo is well suited for a quick chocolate or cheese fondue experience for 2-4 people. I often pull out this set to serve chocolate fondue. This makes for an easy, elegant and engaging dessert perfect to end a small dinner party or date night. For detailed product information, please click here.
2. Yarkor Tofu Press
For years, I engineered a tower of plates and heavy objects each time I needed to drain tofu for any dish. A fellow food blogger, Plant Based Artist, tipped me off on this tofu press by Yarkor, and it has been a game changer. The simple and sleek design is easy to use, easy to clean, and drains tofu to perfection within a small footprint! For detailed product information, please click here.
3. Char-Broil Cast Iron Reversible Griddle
Who doesn’t love outdoor grilling? For the days we cannot dine outdoors or fire-up the huge grill, this cast iron griddle by Char-Broil offers the same charred taste and look from the comfort of your own kitchen. I use this to grill veggies to put into homemade pizzas & pastas, brussels sprouts to lay over salads, and baked tofu to include within a variety of dishes (yes, often I bake and then grill tofu). 4. Charcoal Companion Nonstick Circle Kabob Skewers, Set of 4
Looking for ways to “up your creativity” when it comes to presentation? These round skewers can help to dress-up many appetizers and finger foods. I created the Tapioca Kabobs recipe posted to this blog as part of a virtual family cook-off challenge. As presentation was a major criteria each submission was judged upon, I immediately turned to these circle skewers by Charcoal Companion to serve. For detailed product information, click please here.
5. Grazing Boards by The Bakermama
Wow your guests by serving a beautiful grazing board, one of the latest food trends! A 12”x18” board works well for parties of 4 to 6 people. For a larger party with multiple appetizer menu items, a standard 18”x24” or 12”x36” serving footprint can work. I highly recommend boards by @thebakermama. These boards are beautiful, sustainable and handcrafted for entertaining perfection and ease. Compared to a traditional cutting board or butcher block, these boards incorporate beveled edges and a thinner design ideal for carrying and serving. They are coated with a blend of natural oils and waxes to prevent permanent staining. For detailed product portfolio information, click please here.
6. Vitamix Blender 5200
When I first came across a Vitamix blender on live demo at Wegmans, I thought to myself: “Why would anyone pay so much for another blender?” When my mom gave in and purchased the Vitamix 5200, I thought this was a huge waste of money. Yet when I started to use it, I was instantly converted. This blender is noticeably more powerful and durable than all others I’ve come across (e.g. Ninja, Magic Bullet, etc.). It blends smoothies, soups, nut butters, fondues, sorbets, and much more to the finest level. For detailed product information, click please here.
